Meditation session to calm Coronavirus anxiety
Coronavirus isn't only threatening our physical health but our mental health too. You may be feeling anxious and overwhelmed. It's triggering feelings of fear and helplessness.
The precautionary measures around social distancing promote social withdrawal and this worsens feelings of despair as social connection is an antidote to sadness.
Stress lowers the immune system and makes us more susceptible to viral infections.
Meditation calms the body and allows natural healing to be activated.
It also allows us to take a different perspective on a situation and opens the way for wise action.
You can read more about how the stress response affects us and what to do about it here.
If you want some support with calming the nervous system, I will be hosting a virtual meditation session on Saturday the 21st March at 9 am and you're invited to join.
It will be held on Zoom. If you don't have Zoom downloaded, please click the link a few minutes before 9 am so you can download it and be ready to join at 9 am.
I'll do a guided meditation practice to soothe, calm and bring kindness to ourselves during this challenging time.
We may not be able to meet in person but we can gather virtually and feel a real connection by tapping into the source of peace at the same time.
Take gentle care and I hope to connect with you on Saturday 21st March at 9am on Zoom.
This is a free event, please feel free to share the link with anyone needing support.
